Simpler systems for the nonlinear entrepreneur.

Your systems aren't yours yet.

Are your systems broken? Or are they just someone else's?

You built your business exactly like your coach told you to. You bought the templates, got the subscriptions, signed up with the platforms, niched down, got clear on your content pillars. You did everything right. So why does it feel like nothing's clicking?

Maybe you're jumping between tabs and very carefully ignoring that Notion dashboard you spent so much time on. Maybe you're so behind on your meticulously-orchestrated content calendar that you feel like scrapping the whole thing. And maybe you're looking around at other entrepreneurs that seem like they have it together. They're using the same tools, the same platforms, the same subscriptions. So you feel like you must be the problem.

Let me invite you in. Welcome to my bog. I'm the resident hag, and I have some things to say to you.

If your systems are always failing you, if you try to force yourself to just "be consistent," if you've tried and tried to create good habits and stick to them to no avail, hi. You and I have similar brains. And your systems aren't failing because you're inconsistent. They're failing because they were designed for a different kind of brain.

ADHD entrepreneurs feel so much pressure to fit into productivity molds that reward linear thinking. Neurotypical brains tend to think through things assembly-line style, and they don't get as easily distracted by side quests as we do. So typical linear systems, built around a natural consistency and an assumption that doing something enough times will make it a habit, are not great for us.

What if your systems grew like a garden? What if, instead of the precision and repetition of an assembly line, your business grew roots that go deep and wide, connecting the inspiration that started your business to the people you serve? What if side quests were welcome opportunities? And what if you tended this organic chaos lovingly, instead of trying to force it into a shape it was never meant to form?

The question I'm sure you're already forming: how?? It requires some unlearning. And it requires a willingness to notice.

  • Notice what's already working. What patterns do you naturally repeat? Where do your energy rhythms fall? What rituals restore you?

  • Notice where there's resistance. What can you simplify there? What can you streamline, what obstacles can you remove?

  • Notice your own expectations. Are they fair? Do they match your energy? Are they actually yours, or did you inherit them from someone?

Build your systems around what's working, and around your energy. Remove as many barriers as possible.

Your systems are waiting to belong to you.
